Tonight: Cloud and occasional rain spreads south across Scotland. Gradually becoming cloudier in southern and central England. Elsewhere it remains dry and largely clear with a chance of frost and fog.

Thursday: Becoming cloudier across the UK, although there will be some sunny spells in Wales, Northern Ireland and parts of England at first. Outbreaks of rain become more widespread across Scotland.

Outlook for Friday to Sunday: The weather remains changeable, with sunshine at times but also showers or longer periods of rain. Chance of frost and fog forming in some places overnight.
