WEATHER – Click headline below for more detail
Headline: Mostly dry with clear spells, but rain spreading across Scotland.

This Evening and Tonight: Generally dry, cold, clear and frosty across northern England and some far western parts of England and Wales. Fairly cloudy elsewhere but still with a few clear spells. Rain is expected to spread slowly across northwestern Scotland during the night.

Thursday: Rain becoming more widespread over Scotland, but staying dry with bright or sunny spells across the remainder of the country. Feeling pleasant in any sunshine, with mostly light winds.

Outlook for Friday to Sunday: Rather cloudy with brisk northwesterly winds and scattered showers, some heavy. Drier interludes are likely too though, with sunshine possible for southern parts of England on Saturday. Feeling less cold.
