Herefordshire Aeroclub at Shobdon Airfield, Shobdon, Leominster, Herefordshire Recruiting a General Manager

Salary range £28 - £30k, with profit gain package

Herefordshire Aero Club has operated for over 50 years as a flying club and school based at Shobdon

Airfield near Leominster in the wonderful Herefordshire countryside. Having been recently awarded

Approved Training Organisation status and as part of our exciting plans to grow and develop our

long established business, we are seeking to appoint a General Manager. This is a new post within

a small staff team offering the right candidate an exciting, challenging and rewarding opportunity in

the dynamic business of general aviation.

The main purpose of the job is the overall month to month financial management, development and

administration of the business, reporting to and working alongside a voluntary Board of Directors.

A suitably qualified and experienced General Manager may deputise from time to time for the Chief

Flying Instructor and the Airfield Operations and Compliance Manager.

Key responsibilities

 Leadership and Management

 Financial management

 Business and office administration

 Growing the business

 And, for a suitably qualified General Manager, the opportunity to provide cover for

the Chief Flying Instructor and/or the Airfield Operations and Compliance Manger as

and when required.
