Headline: Sunshine and showers, some heavy with thunder.

Today: Showers will spread from western areas to reach most places, although southeast England will have very few showers. Some showers will become heavy and perhaps thundery, especially across Northern Ireland, northwest England and Scotland. Very warm across eastern areas.

Tonight: Broken cloud and showers, some still heavy with a risk of thunder, mainly at first across Scotland and Northern Ireland. Many parts of central and eastern England will become dry.

Sunday: Sunny intervals and showers, with the showers becoming heavy and perhaps thundery in places, particularly across Northern Ireland, Wales and northern Scotland. Temperatures generally close to normal.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday: Each day there will be sunshine and showers, with some showers heavy with thunder, also slow moving across northern areas on Monday. Staying fresher, with temperatures back to normal.
