Wing Walk Displays at Breighton Aerodrome – October 7 – 8
Bring your family and friends along to Selby, North Yorkshire to see you strapped to the wings of a Boeing Stearman PT17 Kaydet as pilot Mike Dentith – who has over 25 years industry experience – performs a variety of manoeuvres.
Your adrenaline-fuelled – yet entirely safe – experience will include a 500ft dive and a zoom climb as well as the optional extra to have a camera mounted next to you on the wing. The experience costs £399 and a number of health requirements have to be met.

Indoor Aeroboot & Jumble at Newark Air Museum – October 14
With around 50 tables from 40 sellers available for your perusal, this is an ideal opportunity for some face-to-face aviation trading. From 9am you’ll be able to browse the large selection of memorabilia, books, artwork, plastic kits, models, radio equipment and aircraft parts.
Entry is £4.50 – you’ll still be able to see some of the museum’s displays – and it is very much recommended that you get there early to secure the best deals. Sellers will stay until at least 2pm and the museum café will also be open.

Fireworks Display & Lancaster Night Run – October 28
Experience an authentic WW2 airfield in Lincolnshire as the Heritage Aviation Centre opens up for a day of fascinating activities to celebrate the end of their 2017 season.
Entertainment includes displays using the genuine WW2 searchlight, a number of talks, cockpit viewings, large model flying and three runs from Lancasters at 12pm, 3pm and 7pm. Tickets are £10 for adults, £3 for children while the hog roast is extra.

An Evening with Navy Wings at RNAS Yeovilton – October 26
Featuring many aircraft from the Royal Navy Historic Flight’s extensive collection, this is your chance to photograph the planes that have made up the history of the Fleet Air Arm under the lights at Yeovilton.
The RNHF’s two Hawker Sea Furies, their Fairey Swordfish and the Chipmunk T10 have already confirmed their attendance and more are expected to be announced in the run up to the event. Admission is £31.75 and photo identification will be required to enter the station.

Lancaster Experience at IWM Duxford – October 23 – 27
Take the kids to Cambridge this half term to learn all about the role the legendary Lancaster Bomber played in WW2. You’ll discover how Bomber Command dealt with the difficult and dangerous conditions encountered on wartime missions and the specific history of the museum’s own Avro Lancaster.
There will be an introductory talk from a member of IWM staff at 11am and then the aircraft will be open for visitors to explore until 3.30pm. The experience is free with standard museum admission.
