THIS week saw the launch of the RAF Museum’s new website, which includes ‘celebrity podcasts’.The updated site will include entirely new graphics, easier navigation, RSS feeds and more interactivity. Future developments will also include live streaming of events, a Museum blog and a mobile phone version of the site.In the first in a series of downloadable podcasts, Richard Todd – the actor who played Wing Commander Guy Gibson in The Dambusters – tells the story of the bouncing bomb and the raid itself.The podcast can be heard/downloaded from:http://www.rafmuseum.org.uk/podcasts/rafm-podcast-series.xml Also available from:www.itunes.com www.myyahoo.com There will also be a YouTube channel, dedicated to producing special clips outlining the museum’s events and activities.http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=HIvhWz7yMtcFinally, the Museum’s Facebook page continues to prove popular with over 750 members signing up since July 2008.
