Just over 600 feet into his take off run, the pilot of a Cessna 182 encountered deer crossing the grass runway at Haysfield Airport, near Clarksville, Md.

Just over 600 feet into his take off run, the pilot of a Cessna 182 encountered deer crossing the grass runway at Haysfield Airport, near Clarksville, Md.

In avoiding them he steered the aircraft off the runway, only to encounter the more solid obstacle of trees. The pilot and his passengers received minor injuries from the impact.
