An instructor in a C172 saw a Cessna 337 coming from behind, then heard a crash and felt a bump. This was at 2,000 feet above Toronto.

An instructor in a C172 saw a Cessna 337 coming from behind, then heard a crash and felt a bump. This was at 2,000 feet above Toronto.

The traffic reporter's 337 had damaged the C172's nose gear, and part of its own left hand vertical stabiliser had been cut off. Both aircraft landed safely, their pilots being unaware of the damage until after landing.
