Kemble steps into the breach as UKs biggest vintage event to be resurrected in 2009

AFTER the disappointing news in February that the Great Vintage FlyingWeekend was being reluctantly cancelled after 11 years, it has beenannounced that the event will be resurrected next year at Kemble.Kemble Air Services now own the G-VFWE brand although the previousorganisers will continue to be instrumental in the organisation of thefly-in.TerryBooker, who has run the event since it started at Shoreham in 1996,told pilotweb, “It’s official. I’m delighted that it’s signed, sealedand delivered. The event will be held at Kemble next year. “I could only mothball it for so long.
