The Airspace and Safety Initiative (ASI) has launched a definitive pilot’s guide to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The 100-page manual provides information on security and operational airspace restrictions that have been put in place for the Games.
It also details specific additional procedures that will need to be followed over the summer, as well as facts, figures, charts, geographical coordinates and contact details.
However, the document only contains background information and should not be used to replace official communication channels and publications such as Notams and AICs. It is also subject to change as necessary.
ASI’s guide will only be available in electronic formats. It can currently be downloaded as a PDF from here.
Additionally, it will shortly be available to download as a free iBook for iPads from the Apple Store.
Olympic airspace security restrictions will begin on 14 July. Click here for more information.
