Yorkshireman wins Unlimited Aerobatic Comp at Silverstone

TOM Cassells won the British title with 69% of the available score in his CAP-232. Mark Jefferies came second (62%) in an Extra 300-S, Nick Wakefield (far left) third with only 53% - but he was flying a woefully outclassed Pitts S-1T. In fourth place (48%) was Aidan Grimley in a CAP-231ex. To be competitive at international level normally takes a score over 75%. The UK Unlimited Aerobatic Competition decides the UK team for next year’s Internationals at Silverstone. Car manufacturer

Mazda will be sponsoring the World Champs and Flying Aces will provide

TV footage and large screens with in-cockpit filming at the event.www.wac2009.com
