SCHEDULED for 15-17 August, the annual Moth Tour has released its final inventory for the 2008 event. The

three-day event starts at Sywell on Friday 15 August at 0900, moving on

to Bidford, RAF Cosford, Hucknall and Sherburn-in-Elmet.Saturday’s locations are Sherburn, Eddsfield, Pocklington, East Kirkby and returning to Sywell.Sunday should be a shorter day, with Shenington then lunch at White Waltham listed. Ron Gammons organises the event. He said, “The times are subject to weather and all sorts of things that affect old aeroplanes!“A

feature of the Tour ethos is that there is no form of competition, no

prizes or any pressure on any participant to be at every stop or even

to follow a set route. Nevertheless most do and have some excellent

camaraderie along the way.”Expect

to see a variety of aircraft including the DH84 Dragon and DH90

Dragonfly biplanes as well as Hornet, Leopard and Tiger varieties. The

UK’s only airworthy Moth Minor is registered to take part
