Volunteers campaigning to save Plymouth Airport have presented a petition to the leader of the city’s council.

Volunteers campaigning to save Plymouth Airport have presented a petition to the leader of the city’s council.

Signed by 37,861 people, it is the largest petition ever to have been handed to Plymouth City Council.

It was given to Councillor Tudor Evans at noon today – exactly a year since the Council decided to close Plymouth Airport, which was shut down on 23 December 2011.
