The first delivery of a Pilatus PC-12 NGX to a UK customer took place in late July, the aircraft flying from Switzerland to a private buyer based in the North-West of England

The eight-seat aircraft, the latest addition to the single engine Pilatus turboprop family, was unveiled last year at the NBAA Show.

It features a number of improvements over previous models in terms of passenger comfort, including larger windows, reduced cabin noise, and more headroom.

Edwin Brenninkmeyer, CEO of Oriens Aviation (which markets Pilatus models in the British Isles) reports that he has seen “increased enquiries among entrepreneurs and business owners” regarding the aircraft.

Specifically, he said that that the Covid-19 pandemic had led to “an acute emphasis on health and safety in air travel and passenger nervousness regarding the ‘big airport’ experience”.

New Pilatus PC-12 NGXs are now sold out for 2020, and the next delivery to a UK customer is scheduled for 2021.
