Goodwood flying School is looking for additional aircraft types in an interesting scheme to enhance its current product offering alongside its existing fleet of Garmin 1000 equipped Cessna 172s and WWII-era Harvard trainer. General:
“During the last three years, we have taken our customers on a successful journey to a new fleet which has enabled us to provide a very high quality level of customer service that we deem imperative for any student learning to fly with Goodwood,” says General Manager Rob Wildeboer. “With the core fleet established we are now able to instigate the next phase of our fleet development that will consist of an additional training offering with tailwheel and aerobatic capability for both training and self fly hire. This will also assist in delivering our FIC Course which continues to prove very popular.
“In order to accomplish this we are initially looking for aircraft that can meet the needs of the desired training and which will ensure that our customers are able to aspire to a far wider range of challenges and also minimise the risk of typical PPL stagnation. These additional aircraft types will also ensure that flying with us remains fun which is, of course, paramount!”
The School is looking to work with an existing owner to whom it can provide a value package that will include hangarage, landing fees, discounted fuel and maintenance, and a range of other ‘Goodwood-specific attractions’. The aircraft will ideally be white with an engine within the twelve-year GR24 timeframe. “This presents an attractive proposition for an owner either with a currently underutilised asset and one who understands the value of becoming part of the Goodwood Aviation business at a particularly exciting time in our history,” adds Rob.
