RAeS announces details of 2013 Ann Welch lecture

The Royal Aeronautical Society has announced that its 2013 Ann Welch Lecture will be delivered by Wg Cdr Ken Wallis MBE.

The first half of the lecture will look at the ‘WALLBRO’ monoplane, which his father and uncle completed in 1910. It will also cover the start of Wg Cdr Wallis’s flying career.

The second section will look at the autogyro project. Its inventor set seventeen world records in two classes of autogyro between 1968 and 2002, and many are still held by him.

The lecture takes place at the RAeS headquarters in London on 9 May and is free to attend. For more information visit aerosociety.com.
